Reflection of media on our society
"Media of one's nation describes the capability of his nation" - Unknown.
As a child whilst in the stage of growing up, it was nothing but just another phrase for me. Not knowing the power of media, i always used to ignore it as just another creepy thing.
Now, i think otherwise. It is indeed the media which helps the world know about a nation, for instance, In Egypt, the media is not showing what actually is happening.. #EgyptMassacre , had the media showed what the Egyptian are actually going through, the story could've been different. Same goes for #Pakistan.. It indeed is the media which reflects a society. It indeed is the media which shows a generation after another which path to lead, and how to live the life. It is the media which describes a nation. When, we try to look around, we see the European media attracting the whole world towards it, through Peace. While our nation stands still. Recently, a person took over the lives of billions of citizens in Islamabad, had the media not given it the top priority, the person could've stopped by himself, seeing that no one's giving him free publicity, but no. Its Pakistan, that's how it is meant to be, highlight stupid events, whilst leaving the important ones behind. The other day, i was reading an article on internet, describing the effects of LOC (Line of Control) crossfiring, how it could effect the relations of two nations. It was an event which had to be brought up in media, but of no use.
It is the media , which can change the mindset of a nation. From loving one's country to hating it to the core. It is the media which can damage a country's image, from the "Top notch" country to "Hungry Poor" ones... Its hightime we decide whether we want a free media with no sense, or restricted media with sense, The second option makes alot of sense.
Till then, may our media help the message of peace reach other countries. (Specially our neighbours)

Remember this. The most feared creature upon earth is not an animal, but a human. For a human can make you be more famous than the Burj Khalifa, and that same human can also make you more infamous than Osama. Media is nothing without the humans. Humans are what happens. But hey, we are humans in the end, right?
